I thought I would see if anyone is interested here first. I have a LNIB Nikon Monarch 4x40 L Duplex. It still has the cloth cover, lens caps & paper work. I mounted it on my 30/06----never sited it in----decided to go a different way. It's polished, paperwork says it's a Monarch Titanium #6500. $150 shipped via US Mail. Bob

Come Labor Day, I'll be up in the Weeminuche Wilderness chasing Bighorns. I drew a ram tag in unit 16 near Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Elk season I'll be back in the Weeminuche near Durango. I have an either sex tag.

I didn't draw my high country buck in Unit 74. Got 9 points now. Look like next year according to the statics. I drew my unit 75 either sex elk tag for the 1st season. Just as well not drawing the deer tag-------the sheep hunt is the same time frame------week after Labor Day. My work outs at the gym are starting to pay dividends. I can see results----stronger & more stamina. I'll be ready come September. CB

Got my 1st season either sex elk tag. No luck on the mule deer tag----9 points now for high country buck in unit 74.

They actually patterned better in my gun. They remind me of the old Activ loads. I think Kent bought Activ when they went under. CB

I find it hard to believe you can make the same money. IMO that Alfac is a hard product to sell. They come to the office every year--------nobody I know has bought it. But good luck----hope it works out. CB

Are u shooting a 12 or 20? #6 shot? If it's #6 you may want to move down to 5's-----I like big pellets----I use to shoot #4's out of my 12 guage-----but this year I moved to 5's more pellets but just about the same size as 4's. I've used 6's but founs too many in the neck feathers just in contact with the skin. Those extra hits don't do anything if they do pentrate. Don't loose to much sleep----it happens to us all. CB

It will take a couple years for them to bounce back. This year maybe a little better than last, the following( 2012) will be back. CB

Dawg------741 is just west of Durango. Durango is my hometown. Winter here was mild, warm temps & little snow. I don't think there is any winter kill in SW Colorado. The NW (Craig) maybe a different story. Hope this helps. Bob

Tex---I had 3 points & 4 weighted points-------8 years. I got lucky on the draw-----there were about a dozen guys with more weighted points than me. Guess lady luck gave me a low number. I still think there is something about sending in a paper form real early----like the day after I receive the procamation. Now, I need some more luck or bad luck. I put in for high country buck, I had 8 points---last year about 10 guys drew with 8 & about 10 didn't. I hope I don't draw this tag. Season starts 9/6-----till 10/9. Lots of gym time in my summer.
