  1. Re: My first ebay Item.... Lost...... I have bought and sold numerous items and so far, no problems at all. (Well maybe a couple of slow deliveries and one buyer who left negative feedback because he didn't get what he thought he was buying. Didn't read the ad good enough.)

  4. Re: Cardinals baby! We had a good time at the game, but the boy started getting tired so we left after the sixth inning and made it home just in time to see the top of the ninth. Talk about a let down. WOW that was it. Houston is bleeding Cardinal red right now.

  7. Re: Maybe the DUMBEST thing I have ever heard. The sport of basketball is not bad. There is absolutely no reason why as a parent you should not let or encourage your kids to play b-ball if they want to and it does not interfere with school or other activities. We as parents should use the thugs, etc. as examples of how not to end up. All sports have good & bad guys in it. Take hockey, if I am not mistaken, didn't a player take his stick or whatever it is called, and hit a guy in the head with it and then get suspended from the league for a year or so. I am probably not exactly right with the details of the incident, but those who follow hockey should know what I am talking about. Even look at NASCAR, they have drivers who would make good role models and then some that aren't. They may not fall in to the thug category, but there are a few instances of drugs and alcohol related problems, not to mention the retalitory take outs of competitors, that do not make the best of examples. What this all boils down to, is that you and I as parents have to take the responsibility to make sure our kids grow up right. Don't leave it to the TV. I am not pointing this towards any one person that answered above, but to everybody in general.

  10. Texas Professor Finds Two-Headed Rattlesnake Angelo State University in San Angelo is getting an unusual addition to its collection of reptiles and amphibians--a two-headed rattlesnake. Visiting biology professor Chris McAllister says he found the snake at a West Texas ranch south of San Angelo while he and students were searching for interesting specimens. The tiny Western diamondback rattler is about as thick as an adult human finger, was less than a foot long and appeared to be a month old. The heads were fused at the neck and functional, although the left head seems to be dominant, but McAllister says the snake appeared to be lethargic and refused to eat, so he euthanized it. He found it had two hearts, two gall bladders, two tracheae and a divided liver. McAllister says that while two-headed rat snakes and king snakes are relatively common, a two-headed rattler isn't.

  12. Re: Cardinals baby! I have tickets to game 5 (if the Astros don't sweep the cards in 4) . When the tickets went on sale last week, I bought the best available and the best I could get was just a row or two from the top, and I mean the VERY top in left field. This is the view my son & I will have.

I got lucky on that pick. Chipper was still a good pick though. you got me on the HR count. [/ QUOTE ] I am sure Roger Clemens was setting on the bench just wishing he could get 1/3 of that run production. Hope neither one of you picked an Astro for todays game. With the Rocket on the mound, the Astro's bats go silent. [/ QUOTE ]

  19. Re: Kyle Orton pictures? [ QUOTE ] one's of him holding a bottle of Jack with half of it all over his shirt, [/ QUOTE ] No I haven't, but if the above is true, he should be taken out and hung upside down over an antbed in min. 100* weather until he is well done. Wasting Jack should make him eligible for the death penalty. BTW did I mention I like JD. After looking at the pics, he should also be penalized 25 points & $10,000.

  21. Re: Fuel pump? If it wasn't for the pregnat wife part (congrats btw) I would just monitor it and wait awhile. I have a 45 gallon second tank in the bed of my HD and the pump in it makes a very loud whining noise. Its been doing that for about 4 years now. You could (if it is feasible) switch vehicles with her for a while, that way she will have the peace of mind and you will be able to monitor it closer. Good luck in which ever you choose. Just remember the old saying.... If momma isn't happy, nobody is happy.

  23. Hendrick Motorsports to pay $350K in back overtime Oct. 1, 2005 CBS SportsLine.com wire reports CONCORD, N.C. -- Hendrick Motorsports will pay more than $350,000 in back overtime wages to employees after an investigation found the racing company violated federal labor laws. The company, which designs, builds and races cars in NASCAR, acknowledged it failed to pay 214 salaried production workers $351,783 in overtime between July 2003 and July 2005. The U.S. Labor Department said it determined Hendrick violated the Fair Labor Standards Act. "We certainly wanted to make sure our employees received any compensation to which they were entitled, so we were glad to make the appropriate payments," Hendrick spokesman Jesse Essex told the Associated Press on Saturday in an e-mail. "We've updated our internal policies and do not anticipate any ongoing issues." AP NEWS The Associated Press News Service
  24. Panel overturns penalties on Waltrip Oct. 5, 2005 CBS SportsLine.com wire reports CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Michael Waltrip's penalties for allegedly making an inappropriate gesture during a race last month were overturned Wednesday. NASCAR had accused Waltrip of gesturing during the Sept. 18 race in New Hampshire after Robby Gordon threw his helmet at Waltrip following an accident involving the drivers. Waltrip was fined $10,000, docked 25 points and placed on probation until the end of the year. Waltrip denied making the gesture and appealed to the three-member National Stock Car Racing Commission. The panel said two members found TV footage "inconclusive," and the commission then voted to rescind the penalties. AP NEWS The Associated Press News Service
