  1. Re: Wild wild race at Newhampshire [ QUOTE ] So...um...did Jarrett get a points and money fine and probation for intetnionally wrecking Newman? Where has the consistency gone? [/ QUOTE ] For the rest of you that might not know, No, after taking 9 or so laps to repair the car, they held him for 2 laps as a penalty. Which meant absolutely nothing. Not much difference or penalty when you are that far down already. Consistently unconsistant

  12. Re: Texas @ Ohio St. [ QUOTE ] Texas by 3---and NO Tominator--I'm not betting flags!!!! [/ QUOTE ] Should have bet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are a few of my observations of the game: 1. That #47 on the defense is a monster!!!!! 2. I almost hated to see Texas score, because I knew they had to have a kickoff after that, and they were scary from a Texas point of view. 3. After the first quarter, the game took a very Ohioian atmosphere. It felt to me like Texas was getting blown out and then you look at the score and they were only 3 - 6 points behind. Texas offense was struggling, but the defense picked up the slack after all those turnovers.

    ATV insurance

Re: ATV insurance Ok, I just put mine to use. Take a look at this thread. destroyed atv I have my insurance through Progressive and had 2 atv's on it for about $330/year with a $249 deductible. What I did was compare the prices with the different deductible amounts from $100, $249, & $500 and the $249 looked like the best deal to me. That picture is of a 2000 Kawasaki Prairie 400 4x4, and Progressive has a check in the mail to me for $2924. I will never have another atv without having insurance on it. I originally got the ins. because I was concerned about them getting stolen, but found out other things can happen to them, also.

  21. For the first time in over 150 years, the Mexican Army enters the U.S. Mexican Troops Enter U.S. For Hurricane Relief Mexican Army Hits U.S. Soil For First Time Since 1846 POSTED: 8:33 am CDT September 8, 2005 UPDATED: 8:33 am CDT September 8, 2005 LAREDO, Texas -- A Mexican army convoy began crossing into the United States on Thursday to bring aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Carrying water treatment plants, mobile kitchens and supplies to feed victims of Hurricane Katrina, the convoy bound for San Antonio is the first Mexican military unit to operate on U.S. soil since 1846. AP Mexican Army soldiers ride on a transport vehicle into the U.S. to bring humanitarian relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Forty-five vehicles carrying about 200 people will apparently be used to provide water, meals and other help for people evacuated from the New Orleans area. The first green trucks, with Mexican flags attached to the sides, crossed the international bridge at Laredo at about 8:15 a.m. The convoy includes two mobile kitchens that can feed 7,000 people a day, three flatbed trucks carrying mobile water treatment plants and 15 trailers of bottled water, blankets and applesauce. It also includes military engineers, doctors and nurses. The mayor of New Orleans has said thousands may have died from the powerful Aug. 29 hurricane. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced. The government was already planning another 12-vehicle aid convoy for this week. It has sent a Mexican navy ship heading toward the Mississippi coast with rescue vehicles and helicopters. Mexico has sent disaster relief aid missions to other Latin American nations, but not to the United States. In 1846, Mexican troops briefly advanced just north of the Rio Grande in Texas, which had then recently joined the United States. Mexico, however, did not then recognize the Rio Grande as the U.S. border. The two countries quickly became mired in the Mexican-American War, which led to the loss of half of Mexico's territory in 1848.

  23. Re: Blackbuck with my .17HMR [ QUOTE ] Did you hunt these bucks in Texas cause in Texas its illegal to take a deer witha rimfire rifle according to the regs. maybe its different for blackbuck antellope. sounds like you had fun none the less. [/ QUOTE ] Here is the quote from the 2005-2006 hand book put out by TPWD: [ QUOTE ] Game animals and game birds may be hunted with any legal firearm, EXCEPT: • white-tailed deer, mule deer, desert bighorn sheep, and pronghorn antelope may NOT be hunted with rimfire ammunition of any caliber. [/ QUOTE ] The blackbuck antelope is considered an exotic and therefore, it does not follow the regs of the whitetail deer.
  24. Re: Katrina Victims to Get $2K Debit Cards I will get back with you later on this, right now I have a little trip I need to make to the other side of Houston.
  25. Re: Mayor Nagin Not taking his side by any means, I too think he has gone off the deep end (no pun intended), but something to think about. This is not the first year for hurricanes hitting the US, don't you think that some of his predecessors in office, city officials, etc. should have had a long standing plan for the inevitable. I am not up to date on N.O. politics, maybe there was and he cut it from the budget, but it just seems prudent to me that any city that is below sea level would be prepared for an event like this. Hey Galveston, are you ready??????
