  1. So I have this 2 small stupid plantar warts and my mom decides we should try the wart remover thing that freezes, so at Walmart the other day, we got the Wartner one. I'm going to take a shower then try it on one of the warts. The directions say "aching, itching, tingling sensation"; I think oh great! lol Here's to hoping I don't freeze half my foot off,lol I think it is pretty much as good as frostbiting your foot. Anyone else tried it?
  2. Re: We\'ve lost another RT Family Member Aaawww, remember her on here - wonderful person! She isn't in pain though anymore and what is great is she is in a wonderful place before the rest of us.
  3. Re: i saw a nice one this morning ! Sounds liek you had a great morning! Only 2 weeks till squirrel season here!
  4. Re: Tried a bow tonight I stopped at the shop that was closed tonight, held and pulled back a Rintect- lower draw weight then mine, but it had a really nice grip, thin but not as thin as the parker, but not as fat like on the Hoyt Mystic Rebel. And it felt so nice. i'm hoping this bow shop about 1.5 hours away has a Rintec XL and Selena to try out at least

    Back to college

Re: Back to college Ahh the days of college; but I graduated in May and am currently without a job after Sept. 1. I have a degree in outdoor education. Good luck with classes and hunting. Before you know it, you'll be back in the swing of college.
  7. Shot a Parker Challenger II tonight at 40 pounds. Nice bow, grip a little thin but not bad. Does anyone else shoot this bow or have any opinions on it? I also held a Reflex Highlander and pulled it back, a little hard pulling with the slam &1/2 cams, and the bow a little hefty but the grip was nice. Tried to stop at another place tonight but it looked deserted almost like they aren't in business anymore. I'm getting desperate in trying to find shops that have bows to try. Anyone tired a Rintec XL by chance or have any opinions on it? Thanks!
  8. Re: What bows do you shoot? dmitchmell28 - I'm still looking for my new bow but I would suggest finding out her draw length and draw weight. Take her to a bow shop and let her try out a few bows. If she is most comfortable shooting left handed, she should get a left handed bow then. I have about a 25-26" draw length and my draw weight is about 40-50.
  9. Re: Facemask or No Facemask? Ypu, I wear a face mask.
  10. Re: Signed on the Dotted Line! Congrats and I hope you bag a deer on your new land!
  11. Re: TruGlo sights? Thanks Chris! Yeah, I think if I had 5 pins, I'd get confused or accidentally use the wrong pin,lol
  12. Re: We Did It!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to you and your wife! that's great!
  13. I've been looking at a new sight for my hopefulyl new bow, lol, and was looking at the TruGlo's. There was a 3 pin one at Gander Mountain that I can't remember the name of but it was nice and bright, something i'm looking for since my right eye isn't "perfect". Anyone have any recommendations? I think the TruGlo sight I was looking at is either the TruGlo Ultra Extreme or the Glo-Brite 3 pin? Also, my old sight was 3 pin and my farthest shot ever was 20 yards, but I can hit 30 with my old bow. i'm assuming maybe a new bow could shoot farther but I'm wondering, is a 3 pin sight ok, or would a 5 pin be better? Thanks!
  14. Re: Ugh-Need some help Thanks for the tips guys, I appreciate it. With the bow I'm currently shooting, I think the Reflex would probably be like heaven to me,lol. the expensive bows are nice, but I would be just as happy with a decent yet inexpensive bow. Hopefully this weekend I can get out to a shop and see if they have any:)
  15. Re: Ugh-Need some help Oh yeah, anyone know anything about the Reflex Highlander?
  16. I've been leaning towards getting a Reflex Excursion as my new bow because between here and ArcheryTalk.com, I've heard mostly good things about the bow. Thing is I've heard a few bad things, like hand shock(what is that) and some guy on archerytalk said it isn't any betetr than my old Mystic Rebel which I think isn't true because my bow is old and heavy and a pain in the butt. Look up a Hoyt Mysic Rebel and you'll see why, lol. I want to stay under $400 which included a new sight and release. I haven't found a shop yet that has a Reflex to try out. I do have one or 2 more places to check out, but would it be horrible if I have to order the Reflex without trying it, or does anyone have any other suggestions for other bows? I have a 25/26" draw and my draw weight is 40-50 pounds. Thanks from a desperate female hunter, lol
  17. Re: NY Southerntier hunters... I'm in 9N! Good luck swamp!
  18. Ok, so I'm really leaning towards a Reflex Excursion bow. I was wondering though for those of you who shoot one or any Reflex at all, how does it shoot? Smooth, quiet, not too much vibration, etc...? I was talking to a guy in ab ow shop yesterday and he said with the cam system, some think the draw cycle is a little hard? Personally, I think my Hoyt Mystic Rebel is more of a pain, being about 40" long and it is heavy. So anythinkg you can tell me about the Reflex bows would be great! I'm asking because I may have to order the Reflex Excursion without getting to shoot it first, because no one around has them. The shop yesterday had two Reflexes and while they weren't the correct draw weight, they felt nice in the hand! Oh, one more question, say I ordered it from Cabela's or Basspro, probably Basspro because they have the sight and release I want, is their customer service/return policies good? Thanks!
  19. Re: Teams So Far... Wow, didn't know I was part of a topic here, lol! Sorry I didn't get back to you Chris, I've been busy working these days and crashing at night. Guess we'll see what happens come season(only 2 more weeks) Good luck everyone!

  24. Re: 06-07 RT Forum Deer Contest - SIGN-UP Name: Turkeygirl Age: 23 Season dates: October 14-December 10 (Archery, Shotgun/Rifle, Late Archery)
  25. Ok, so I have a question, again Last fall I got some new Beman ICS 500 (7.3 gpi) arrows to shoot on my Hoyt Mystic Rebel. If I get a new bow for this fall, and say it happens to be the Reflex Excursion, am I going to have to buy all new arrows? I'm not that knowledgable on the whole arrow/bow thing, but I really hope my arrows would work well because I wouldn't be that thrilled to spend like another $40 on new arrows. Thanks guys!
