    GOOD RAIN

Re: GOOD RAIN I think he's trying to steal my rain posts to,lol. Just teasing ya! We are suppose to be getting some good storms starting tonight and probably until Wednesday. Should be a roof rocker at camp, lol.
  12. Re: Anyone ever have this? Hey Life NRA, that's your Achilles tendon I believe:) The pain is more on the bottom of my heal, kind of where the side of my ankle meets my heel, kinda weird. Thanks guys! Oh Tedicast, almost sounds like you have plantar faschitis from your description, maybe I'm wrong, but that is the first thing that popped in my mind when I read your reply:)
  13. I was hiking yesterday and got home and the bottom of my right heel, towards the inside (medial) is sorel ike I bruised it. I know I'm suppose to be the one who majored in athletic training, but I'm not really sure what I should do, except maybe ice it. And I'm planning to go fly fishing later, lol Just wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about?
  14. Thursday evening, at camp, I had about an hour and a half off before dinner. I decided to take my fly rod and go play play with the bass and sunfish in the pond. This one kid/guy who is an assistant in the kitchen tells me there are some trout in the creek down at the bottom of the camp driveway and he'd show me where; I'm like sure! So we go down there and he actually gives me like a lesson on where to look for the fish/ read the water/ where to cast,etc... He catches a small brookie on my pole then after a few minutes go swimming and I've got the creek. The fish were a little spooked so I wander downstream and find another hole with some nice brookies in it but they didn't want to bite. I go back up to the first hole, can see where the trout are resting in pool between two boulders and finally I get the cast I want. The dry fly sinks under the water, goes right into the middle of the fish and a real nice one takes it! I got him in, beautiful male brookie, and decide to keep him, being my first fly rod trout and being a decent sized one at 8-10 inches. That night I took him home and my mom and I fried him up in a pan and ate him at like 10pm,lol
  15. Re: Deer Hunter 2005 tonight anyone? Well, if anyone wants to try for tonight, post here! I didn't play last night, ate dinner really late then went to bed. This camp internship gets to ya,lol. I'm going to try to play tonight though or today at some point.
  16. Well I was lookin up the weather for this week and in my area of NY, looksl ike we are going to get alot of rain and thunderstorms until about Wednesday. The bad part is the campers arrive at camp today and don't leave until Saturday which means the counselors are going to be cancelling or replanning alot of activities, and being and environmental camp, you get the drift I was going to talk with the director about starting some work on their interpretive trail, but the t-storms are going to put a damper on that.... Anyone else going to get some rain? I saw that about 3/4 of PA is under a flash flood watch - good luck to you all!

    @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!!

Re: @#@&^$(*#)^!!!!!!! Ouch, that had to really hurt! I'd suggest maybe getting an x-ray to make sure it isn't broken. Ice it, keep it elevated and take some ibuprofen.

  24. So I don't have to be back at camp until Monday at 8am eventhough kids arrive Sunday, so I've got the weekend off. Does anyone want to have an online hunt tonight?? I can host or someone else can, let me know!!
  25. Wow, so I've been involved this week in home staff training at the DEC camp here, and tonight, I didn't get home until 10pm. I'm averaging about 8-10 hours a day on my internship log, but if you count meals and breaks, that would be more like 12 or 13 hours a day. I get a little break tomorrow morning though, don't have to be at camp until noon, praise the Lord, because my lower back is killing me,lol. I think I pulled something in a game we played Campers arrive this coming Sunday and if I average 8-10 hours a day, I should only have around 2 weeks left, then I can go back to working custodial and actually get paid
