Re: Easter Bird Way to go woman! That's an awesome bird. I'm happy for you! I do the same thing when I go out hunting - say a prayer to the Lord and that He'll bless me with a deer/turkey/ whatever if it's His will. I think of each successful kill as a blessing. Congrats huntnma!

Well yesterday my sister and I went to visit a lady we know who has about 200 rabbits, no joke! She loves her rabbits and she always says she is going to decrease but never does,lol. anyway my sister and I came home with 4 new rabbits. Actually one is a male mixed lop that the lady let me borrow to breed my lop to, then she'll get pick of the litter. I got one rabbit and my sister got 2 and the awesome thing is she let us have them! I have a purebred broken chocolate mini-rex doe and my sister got a purebred red Mini-Rex doe and broken black Mini-Rex male, which my sister actually gave to her awhile back and she let us have him back, since my sister owned the father and he died but he has great body type. Thought I'd let you all know,lol. I'll try to post a photo soon.

Re: How many guys \"Hunt with a plan\" I will usually tell my mom about where I am going, take the cell phone with me, and tell her about when I will be back. Sometimes I'll take a dog with me if I'm just hiking or looking for sheds. If I don't have the cell phone, I'll take a radio with me and leave one with my mom.

If anyone from or even not from NY could give me some suggestions, I'd really appreciate it! Monday I'm planning to go to the one section of state land near by to try and find some turkeys. I've always hunted farmland that I have permission on but since there is only like 1 gobbler and a couple hens moving from the farmland to land I can't hunt, I've decided to try and get out and scout state land to hunt. Obviously I'm worried about the youth season and losing any turkeys then and of course like the first week when everyone is out hunting. I'm getting some maps printed off topozone.com to get a lay of the area but I'd really like any suggestions on how I should go about looking/where I should look because the state land is alot bigger than the farmland I hunt, I don't know it, and I don't want to get lost. I have a compass, just have to remember how to use it. Anyway I'd like to have an idea how many gobblers are out there and where before the season so please help me! Thanks friends!

Re: AAAHHHHH...break time! I hope you got everything finished! I know your pain, sort of. When our uncle from England and his friend would come visit us, mom and my sister and I cleaned like crazy, top to bottom. It was insane.

Re: Hunting on Sundays I'm glad NY allows Sunday hunting! They didn't used to several years past but they do now and I think it's a good thing!

Re: Weight Loss Comp. Entry Thread. Well you can just about count me out. I didn't have alot of time to do much with college being an overwhelming and stressful pain in the butt. I've lost about 1-1.5 pounds but that's it.

Re: Gonna try and roost some birds tomorrow evening That's cool you can hunt that much land without the pressure of anyone else. I wish I had it that easy! Good luck and I'd say try the locator calls. Where do you hunt anyway?

Re: SOOOOOOOOOO Tired I had like 2 hours of sleep the one night when my sister's pet bunny died, then I had an exam and class the next day at college. My last class of the day, I was so zoned out, it wasn't funny, I was trying so hard to stay awake, it hurt,lol!

Re: Good Friday babies Sadly, the one bunny left is dead. I went out to check on them other and the baby about 2 hours after I first found out she had the bunnies, and the one left was dead. She sat in the nest but sat right on the bunny and basically suffocated and squashed the poor little guy. It looked like it wouldh ave had some nice markings to. My sister and I are going to a lady we know tomorrow as she has a ton of rabbits, to see if we can get some new rabbits. We were going to before anyway. If we have any luck, I'll post some photos.

It's the second time we did and the last time she ate one of them also. We'll probably get a new female and male or something.

Re: Somber mood at the hospital. Wow, how sad and terrible for the family and friends. Losing a child is the worst thing possible I hear. Just the other night while in bed, I though geesh, how hard life can be at times and how easy it can be to be in heaven with Jesus. God wants some of us to go sooner than others.
