  1. Re: I Think I Just Burned A Bridge Good choice tominator. As much as I have thought about taking aim at the stupid neighbor's dogs that run around here loose and chase deer and all that; I haven't and won't unless of course they want to bite me. We won't call the dog control or whatever though because there probably would be repercussions from the neighbor.
  2. Re: Six-year-old camper killed by bear I heard about it on the news this morning; very sad to hear. It's the risk some take when camping in bear populated areas and one of those 1 in a million type of circumstances. I hope the other 2 make it ok.
  3. You may have seen the title and been like "what in the world is TG talking about now?" lol. Well my sister's Mini-Rex rabbit had her bunnies today. I just went out to theb arn to check on her and she had three, but sadly one was dead and the other one was partically eaten. There is one alive so I left her alone and hopefully she'll take care of it. Some female rabbits are naturally great mothers, we've had a couple, and other times some just aren't that great. It is a little saddening but it happened. It's a nice blessing from the Lord though; I don't think we've had any Good Friday or Easter Day bunnies before. I'll put a photo up if it lives and gets some fur.
  4. Re: Do you use the \"Ignore This User\" feature? I didn't even know there was such a feature, lol! I think we should all put RyanH on our Ignore this User, lol (just joking buddy).
  5. Re: Anyone work up their gardens yet? My mom hasb een working in her flower garden. Haven't started on the veggies, but maybe I'll try to start tilling with our beat up tiller on my pumpkin and potatoe patch and try to get some potatoes in or something. I think mym om wants to get the peas in this weekend.
  6. Re: Lenten Sacrifices... How did you do? One year we gave up sweets but we haven't really given up anything the last few years. We have cut-down on the sweets though a little bit. Tomorrow, Good Friday, we don't eat any meat. We'll probably do a fish fry since fish isn't a "red meat".

    Decisions

Re: Decisions I don't know really; I think I'm still too young at 23,lol. Right now all I can think of is knowing Christ and choosing to believe His Word and putting mytrustingin Him that he will help me do whatever his will may be.
  10. Re: Anyone have these pants They say they are like cotton but aren't; they are supposedly quiet yet breathable and wick away moisture
  11. Re: What pocket knife do you have? I have a Bucklite and a blue Buck Whittaker I think it's called.
  12. I'm looking for some new camo pants for turkey hunting and I found on wingsupply.com a couple on sale at a good price: The Gamehide Hunterhide Huntlite 6 pocket pants and the Gamehide Clever Cloth Cleverlite 6 pocket pants. Does anyone have any of these pants or know anything about them? I'd like to know if they are a good pant or not before I order them. Thanks!

  15. As we get caught up in the Easter holiday upon us, seeing all the traditions, chocolate and everything that has been marketed for Easter, let us not forget what the true meaning of Easter is really about: Christ's death and resurrection for us. He suffered more than one could every know to save us from our sins. I hope each one of you experience His blessings and love each and every day!

  18. Re: my first 06 bird Wow, awesome bird, congrats! That was nice of the lady to call you to!!
  19. Re: Big Time Turkey Sightings Gooc luck VH! I hope you get a shot at him. I know how you feel. With one gobbler with some hens that travels between the land I hunt and the land I can't hunt, neighbors that hunt turkeys the way they hunt deer (drives) and a couple other hunters, I can only hope and pray this smart guy outsmarts all the others except for me, and survives the youth season next weekend also. I hope it all works out for you!
  20. Re: New Turkey Hunter Needs Help Fast!!!!!!! Generally yelps are good with a few clucks. If the gobbler is close, you don't want to call too loudly or he'll likely spook. If he's coming closer, start calling softly, maybe through in a few purrs then. I'm in NY so I don't know how you are turkeys are responding right now. A locator call would be a good idea because if you are moving around without the blind and trying to find a gobbler, it may get him to shock gobble. Do you already know of gobblers in the area you are hunting? If you don't, it may be easier to be there and if you hear a gobble, try to get closer to the bird without spooking him and set up with out the blind. Just my opinions, I don't know a ton but GOOD LUCK to you! I hope this helps.
  21. Re: A picture from Dakota surgery That's a cool photo, thanks for sharing! Hang in there Dakota! We are all praying for the best for you!
  22. Re: Mt 1st Bird Wow, that's an awesome first bird! Congrats!

    Uh oh...

Ok, so next Wednesday night is lifeguarding recertification and I just found out I have to swim 20 lengths of the pool, doing both breatstroke and front crawl(freestyle). I haven't done any swimming and now I'm worried I'll die, lol. I don't want to not pass. I have between today and next Wednesday to do some running and hope that helps., but when it comes time for the class, I'm worried my arms will die. I think I can make it but I initially thought it was 10 lengths, not 20
