  2. Re: Back to the Grind... Glad ya had fun! Today was a regular day at custodial....long, hot, tiring, and mindless work!)
  3. Re: What a shocker...i hurt myslef Sorry to hear that. If I were you, I'd go see a doctor, unless you did that already. Keep off that toe for awhile to let it heal. Good luck!
  4. Re: how many people use field dressing gloves? I don't. Part of the hunt is cleaning the animal with your bare hands, in my opinion. I can see the good uses of gloves but I don't wear them.
  5. Re: Real?or Fake? I have to say the antlers seem a little out of wack on the deer's head but hey, this is one topic that bombshellso n here, lol. I've seen it before so I won't get into it,lol
  6. Ok, it was more of a small hike through the farm land I hunt with my backpack, camera, and the .22. I was on the lookout for chicken stealing foxes and woodchucks and a good photo possibility. Well I saw 4 woodchucks but no shots. I also about 10 deer in one alfalfa field where we have a few stands. One had antlers in velvet that came up to the top of his ears; looks like he may be decent. The others were too far away to tell (I was looking through the scope of the .22). All in all it was a good evening until a wild rose bush snagged me on the back of the calf (aka gastrocnemius muscle). That kind of hurts and stings right, lol.
  7. Re: Prayers needed! Will do buddy! Backs are weird. You don't really know how much you need your back until it hurts too much to use it. I had a knot in my back one time and was having muscle spasms and it made it hard to sit in a class in a hard chair for an hour. Good luck to you and keep us updated!
  8. Re: Pics From Florida Trip Welcome "home" and glad you had a good time as it looks like you did!

    Cool news

Well while I was cooking dinner tonight (fish fry) the phone rings and she answers it. From the conversation my ister and I hear, it sounds like whoever she is talking to knows us somehow but we don't know who it is. Mom hangs up and tells us that the lady called to invite us to a backyard picnic thing on July 18 for some people we know that are back in town. It is exciting actually because my mom is good friends with them and he and his wife worked at my college until they went to Mexico to lead an outdoor type of missionary program thing. He was my advisor for the athletic training major until the college got rid of the major and they left. They will be around I guess this month. Hopefully we can go to the picnic because we don't know what time it is and my sister and I are working custodial till 3:30pm. Thought I'd tell you all the nice news By the way while cooking I burned my hand and this 2 pronged fork thing fell off the counter and stabbed me in the foot (not bad), lol! (Don't say it Tominator, lmbo)
  14. Re: What kind of snake is this? That WAS a beautiful snake:-)
  15. Anyone getting the remants of hurricane Cindy as we are in NY? Anyone flooded yet? It has been raining for a couple hours now but at least we live on a hill. The college though is prone to flooding which is where I am right now, on lunch break. I hope everyone is safe and dry. Be safe out there!
  16. Re: half way there... Congrats!
  17. Re: One Year And Counting! That is wonderful news buddy! Your news puts some sun into this cool and very rainy Friday in NY while working custodial! Praise the Lord!
  18. Re: fall seasion???? Gfour --- Hunting fall turkeys is a little different from spring in that the turkeys are in flocks and if you spook a flock, you will want to sit down in the area and call as they will try to regroup. I've been bowhunting deer during NY's fall season and heard turkeys roost then would go outi n them orning after the turkeys. I didn't have luck but bow season during turkey season is a good way to "kills 2 birds with one stone".
  19. Re: The Pre-Fall Jitters!!!!!! I enjoy college which begins the last Monday in August!! I am looking very forward to squirrel season though. It is amazing how such a small critter can be about as exciting as deer hunting. Where are you in southern NY Squirrelbuster? Maybe I've asked before but I'm in Allegany County.
  20. Re: guess its goodbye We'll miss you buddy! Good luck and be safe with your new job and pop in once in awhile if you get the time! I hope you will be able to fit some hunting time in. Good luck to you!
  21. Re: Caption Game.... I can fly!!
  22. Re: Caption Game.... Since gas is so high priced and I'm a poor college student, this is how I save money!
  23. Re: Open Season - the movie Geesh...it always has to be a female or someone rescuing the animals....duh...
  24. Re: I can\'t believe it.... (London) I know, it is really sad. Our Uncle lives in London and he has a friend we know also so hopefully they are alright, but I don't know anything yet.
  25. Re: graduation gift It is great to hear from you Flosser!! It has been awhile! That is an awesome gift!
