  1. Re: Squirrel Season Squirrel hunting blinds? This is new to me,lol!! I'm the sit in an area for awhile and then sneak through the woods type:-)
  2. Ok so I'm on my 15 minute break at work right now. So me and another girl, our supervisor had us stacking bunkbeds. Basically they have wood ends with a metal bed spring; the wood ends hook onto the metal frame and then you throw the mattress on. We had to move several of these and find some that matched (so the frame and wood would fit). We were stacking one (stacking is putting the one bed on top of the other to get a bunk bed ) Well somehow I managed to smash my left index finger between the one wood end and the other one and let me tell you, it HURT! I manage to pull through and not drop the bunk bed but I had the girl help me get it to the floor before I was like OW!! It sure is gonna be black/blue tomorrow. The nail is kind of red from bleeding underneath but I have it tape right now. I don't think it is broken but it sure is gonna smart for awhile. Thought I'd let you all know I'm ok,lmbo! (I know you've been waiting for a post like this Tominator!)

    Surgery

Re: Surgery I watched a video on that type of surgery. I'm no expert but they did it with scopes and I think a small incision. You'll probably have some postsurgery pain but I bet it'll cure the problem! And in case you didn't know, Rotator Cuff is an all around name for I believe like 3 tendons/ligaments in the shoulder; either you tear all or one of them. Good luck!!
  4. Re: Hunting Season this fall Squirrel season starts September 1 (yeehaa!) Archery for deer is October 15, fall turkey starts a week after that then Shotgun deer season season starts in mid-November. And I fit college in between, lol!
  5. Re: College Students! Basically a "major" is what you want to concentrate your studies in; what you would like to apply as a career in the future. A "minor" is basically a course in something that you enjoy and maybe will need some aspect of it in your career or it is just something you want to learn about. A minor doesn't require as many classes/credits as a major and a minor helps give you more experience in some interest. Does this make sense fellow college people?

  10. Re: WTB/Looking for Good idea but I definitely do not have the time nor patience to sew, lol. Thanks anyway! For the price I've seen for camo material, I might as well by a new pair of bibs, lol!
  11. WomanWhoHunts and LadyLuck?? (and any other female hunters I'm missing) I haven't seen them on here in ages and I miss both of them! I hope you two are doing well, wherever you are!
  12. Re: Ol\' Time Turkey Huntin\' Gal That is very, very cool!
  13. Re: New New York State Law I remember now that in a recent Outdoor Life magazine issue a small article about some new bill trying to be passed that due to its "wording" would outlaw deer hunting. Since the DEC has nothing like this on its website, this stuff it all way out of hand. Who is coming up with these bills anyway??????????
  14. Re: Here ya go Tominator....IT WORKS NOW Beautiful looking moth!
  15. Re: Thanks Borch Congrats wacoyote! One of these days I'll win something on Realtree, lol, or at least end my turkeyless streak. Thanks for making the call for the smallest bird Borch.

    Caption time

Re: Caption time At first I thought cheese grater but then I realized, is that suppose to be toilet paper? And I thought using leaves and bark in the woods was "roughing it" !! lol
  20. Re: Those little annoying birds... Almost sounds like Kildeers (I may have spelled that wrong but it sounds like killdeer or killdare) If you are near them or a nest, they'll stay close by and kind act like they have a broken wing or something to distract any predators. These may or may not be the birds you saw.
  21. Re: Hey there folks!!! How\'s it going? Norm, I am so happy to see your post on hear but your email is very sad and I pray that your pain will go away and the doctors can help. I cannot imagine being in your shoes but from your post, I can tell you are a very strong person, even if you sometimes do not feel strong but believe me; We all love you, your family loves you, and God loves you to! Keep your head up buddy and think about the beauty of the woods.
  22. Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY archerjg Happy B-day a day late! I hope it was a great one!!
  23. Re: Squirrel Season I can't wait for the NY squirrel season either! There is nothing like be in the woods in the early fall, early in the morning, and hearing the woods wake up with the sounds of hickory nuts and acorns dropping from the trees!
  24. Re: Wisdom Teeth Luckily when I got braces, I had to have 2 teeth pulled in order for my wisdom teeth to hopefully come in properly. Well they did and so far, no problems (except for last month when it seemed that I was at the dentist every week). When I got my two teeth pulled, all I got was some laughing gas (I found nothing funny) and novacaine. Dentists must tend to want to knock people out when doing wisdom teeth. Don't worry too much, once it is done, it'll be done. I'll say a prayer for you.
