It is the last week of summer custodial work then classes start Aug. 29 and I am feeling so worn out! Getting up at 6am 5 days a week takes its toll and all this morning I have been helping move desks and beds around in the one dorm, I'm beat! Oh yeah and this weekend mom wants to butcher like 12 ducks and that is the last thing I want to do the weekend before classes! All I want is some rest and relaxation,lol. Well I had to vent my exhaustion. Only 5 hours left in the day!

As much as we dislike dresses, find one that is comfortable and you can stand for a few hours and wear it,for the bride:-) Then afterwards you can run out to the car and put on that change of clothes you brought with you,lol

Re: My horses (Including pics of the new colt) Great looking horses Jeramie and that is one adorable foal (most are though,lol). When my sister's mare foaled, the filly was almost as small as yours, but the mare is like 14.2, and the filly filled in fast. She's 6 years old now I think. I own a sweet old Quarter horse gelding, Checkers Royal Charm. He is like your horse Whisper, you can trust him with a little kid, he is awesome! By the way I don't think your one foal is going to turn black. She looks like she may be either a bay or dark chestnut. They'll sometimes get dark spots when shedding out, like my sister's filly does.

Re: Turkey Roosts In my area I find that they like to roost on ridge tops in big hardwood trees or big pines. Generally they seem to roost in the same area but my hunting area has been logged the last 2 years by 2 different farmers and it really messed up the'r roosting areas and patterns. Hopefully this fall I can track one down:-)

Re: contest ideas/opinions I think it would be awesome! Small game should have a contest like everything else. Count me in on this. I'm in NY and our season starts Sept. 1 with a 6 per day limit. You have some good ideas SquirrelHunter91. I think we could do it by teams and have like the team with the most weight or most squirrels harvested and maybe have an Individual winner for Longest Tail and heaviest squirrel. The only thing is the squirrels shouldn't be just shot and wasted, if you are going to shoot them, eat them also. Let me know if I can help.

Re: New home....life is good in the country...except, Put in a food plot next spring, that should help with the deer,lol! I live in and love the country; take me to a city and I just can't take it...too many people and buildings, not enough wilderness.

Re: Fall calling question. Alot of good tips here. All I can add is to do some pre-season scouting and find where the turkeys seem to be rosting/feeding/ hanging out.
