Hey, how many of you New Yorkers or maybe out of staters' applying in NY did get or didn't the DMP they wanted. The DEC is really messed up. I got my first DMP choice (9N) but not a second choice. Andy didn't get a first choice for the same area (9N) but he got a second choice for another area farther away because that was like the only area with a high 2nd DMP chance. This is really confusing that I would get a DMP for the same area he didn't. Anyone else confused.....

Ok, so if you guys notice that I'm kind of sporadic in my posting, well that's because the college thing runs my life,lol! So Intramurals start Monday and hopefully I have a team that shows up at all the games. I got an email yesterday from the professor of theb ackpacking class I took last semester and she asked me if I could help drive the backpacking class and I said yes so Saturday I'll be helping drive them, then backpacking with them on a day hike to a local state park. Inbetween I have to study for a Kinesiology exam on Monday, get homework done for Env.Earth science this Friday...when does relaxation come in? Oh well, I sometiems would rather be busy then bored. What is everyone else up to?

of our intramural outdoor soccer team! I got an email last night with the team members' names and they emailed asking who was going to be captain because there is a captain's meeting tonight at 8:30pm. No one else can go so I'm it! It's kind of cool but scary at the same time because all the soccer I've played is 3 years of intramurals. Oh well, wish me luck!

Ok, so you don't have to be nice to all of them,lol. The two athletic trainers at my college I've had as professors, but I've known them more as the trainers and as two really awesome women! I've known since going to college and the training room here as always been a special place (not just when I get injured playing sports,lmbo ) Anyway when the one trainer was there, helping my mom do therapy when she broke her leg, we would take fresh vegatables to the training room from our garden for the trainers and students. He left but the 2 trainers are there and I might take them in some of mom's cinnamon roles or something, just to be nice and it is fun. Well today I took them each a white pumpkin that I grew. I told them that when I saw how white they were, I thought of them and giant roles of white athletic tape,lol Anyway it is fun to see them all smiles and I know they appreciate it but it really gives truth to the saying "it's better to give than to receive". they will probably be two people I'll miss them ost when I graduate but people I won't forget and i'm sure I'll stop in once in a while. Anyway for those of you in college, there are some great people teaching you, I hope, so give them some respect! A few kids on my campus always seem to say bad thingsabout one professor or another, and usually they are the professors I love,lol. Did I bore you all?

Re: HiViz shotgun sights Well rightn ow I'm having a pain trying to unscrew the bead. The little white bead part came off but the metal screw is in there really good. Any suggestions? I sure don't want to "wreck" my gun!

Does anyone else deep fry squirrel meat? I've only done it a few times but when I found out about deep frying it, I found out the it is good! We make up a batter and put the meat in it then drop the battered meat into some hot oil. I think I'm hungry

Re: Trout I've caught some nice rainbows and brown's in the fall in thep ast. Haven't had alot of time to fish these days though there is suppose to be a salmon run in the fall in one of the large creeks not to far from where I live...

At Walmart the other day I goto n clearance for $5 a packet of HiViz Flash Point Front sights for the front bead of the shotgun. I think it'll work alot better on my shotgun as I currently have a small white bead on it that was on it, then there is a small bronze type of bead in the middle of the barrel. Anyway the packet has 2 round sights and then 6 different sized triangular sights. Does anyone use or have these sights? Does anyone have any suggestions on whether the round or triangular would work best for small game/turkey?

WEll i did it again! I got up this morning at 7am and headed back out to the woods with the .22. I came down a logging trail and a gray squirrel jumped out on a bruch pile andb egan running away. I pull the .22 off my shoulder, nocking my hat off in the process, the squirrel stops broadside, I put the crosshairs on it and one shot is all it took! That is the only squirrel I got today but I did see one other one and heard 2 others so all in all a good hunt My season total is up to 4.
