Re: Impending Disaster Looms on Horizion? Oh, here is another suggestion....don't let her decorate in pink, lmbo!

Re: My Dilema Archery and fall turkey mix hear also but I don't usually encounter many other hunters on the farmland I hunt. I wouldn't worry too much. If you run into a bow hunter there, then move; not much you can do about it if you didn't know.

Re: Hurricane Rita Not only was it upgraded to a category 5 last night but they said it is the 3rd most powerful hurricane in history!!!

Re: Impending Disaster Looms on Horizion? You know guys...girls are not meant to be some type of joke to you all..saying girls have a kitchen and a mall is so stereotypical. I don't mean to be mean about it but we are human. My suggestiong is to tell her the truth. Tell her how you feel about the place and if she wants to hang out there, fine, but you don't want her cats messing up the place and you don't want stuff rearranged. This is why I don't have any boyfriends and don't want to get married No offense so some of you because I know alot of you are great guys

Re: Update on hurricane Rita Wow...things do not look good for sure. All we can do is pray and leave it in the Lord's hands. I'm glad I live in the northeast where all we contend with are snow storms. Best of luck to the people down south.

Re: New Oklahoma State Record Non-Typical Nice deer, if it's real. The sad thing is more people seem to hunt for the biggest buck to beat someone else's score rather than hunt for the love of it.

Re: Realtree Road Trips *Autographed!* Hmmm....how much are you willing to sell for?

I was just wondering if we are going to do that again this year? I thought of it because alot of stores have a good selection of hunting stuff right now if you are going to get your partner something hunting related Don't be one of those last minute people, lol

I know, Sunday isn't over yet but when I got up at 9am this morning, I planned to watch the hunting shows on ESPN. Well I look out the front window to see our one horse, Sunny, standing in the road! So I yell "Mom, Sunny is loose" and run out. Sunny crosses the road into a corn field and I catch her and we eventually get her in. Luckily the other 2 didn't follow. Well we are standing there and BOOM! A gun shout comes from the other side of our woods. So I run into the house, grab boots and a jacket, get the 2 dogs and walk up to our woods. On the other side is a corn field which belongs to a big time farmer who doesn't let anyone hunt on his property and is a major JERK! Well I don't see anything but I find a shiny blue pick-up with a cab parked in the middle of the tractor path then I see the sillouette (it was really foggy) of someone sitting in the middle of decoys about 100 years from our woods. Stupid crow hunters, they do this every year! The gin shots probably explain why the horse got out because they shot again and the horss were freaked out. Anyway I watched this guy then went back to the house and my mom told me that earlier she had heard one crow calling which counded kind of weird. No offense to anyone who crow hunts but I find it distasteful and unethical when these guys who crow hunt here leave bird bodies and shotgun shells lying all over; that is not respecting God's creation or being a good hunter in my book! Ok, I just had to vent. I'm sure there is a good porpuse for hunting crows but around here it is more of a stupid sport than anything.

First Fall Turkey Season..? It May Be Your Last!
Turkeygirl replied to 13littleones's topic in Turkey Hunting
Re: First Fall Turkey Season..? It May Be Your Last! I love fall turkey season because I can actually hunt all day, whereas in the spring we can only hunt till noon. I'm breaking my 2 year turkeyless streak this fall, hopefully! -

So in June when I was in the Adirondacks and we spent a week hiking, I got to see me first real Adirondack hunting camp. My professor who also is a hunter, has alot of knowledge about the hunting camps, historically. Let's just say there is somethign special about them, maybe it is being a small cabin in the middle of nowhere. We looked in the windows and I saw some beatufiful racks on the walls. There were old bunkbeds, not even made, lol, and washed dishes piled in the sinks. Just looking at it, I could tell that guys must spend many days out there just hunting. The outside of the cabin on a porch had a bunch of racks also, and old bottle sitting on the railings. there was an outhouse with a skull nailed to the door. Maybe it is because it is rustic but I don't think I'd mind having my own camp! Anyone else seen these camps? They are so cool, lol

A Few PA Stealth Cam Buck Pictures

Re: A Few PA Stealth Cam Buck Pictures Those are some nice bucks! Good luck on hunting them! -
Re: New York DMP\'s I'm not talking about people reading or not reading about the DMP selections and how it works, I'm talking about the way it is working. It seems really weird how one person gets a DMP for a unit that the next person doesn't, so chill wny whitetailer, lol. I'm just saying the DEC is going more on what they think and hear rather than looking for themselves in my opinion. You are right roosman, I read somewhere that with rifles, the deer population is going to be the equivalent of human teenagers and kindergardeners, the older bucks/does are going to be wiped out.

Re: Okay ladies... I never wear make-up unless chapstick counts. Basically I get up when the alarm goes off, get dressed, put my contact lens in, put my camo on, grab my gear and out I go!

Re: Today\'s success!!! Congrats on the squirrels! Sounds like a sweet spot! I might manage to get out sometime this weekend for squirrels.

Re: PRAYERS PLEASE!!!!! That is wonderful wonderful news Kyle....the power of prayer! I have watched a few medical programs and it is so amazing to see the shape these people are in at the hospital, with the doctors thinking they won't make it...but God is the one with the final say!

Re: Realtree Wristband Sales for Hurricane Victims I ordered one today, finally and will be getting the check out tomorrow. They said they would email me a receipt but I haven't gotten it yet and I'm not sure if it just hasn't been sent or if I accidentally messed up my email... -

Re: Mt. Monadnock, NH Pictures at roughly 3,100 feet Makes me wish I could have seen more than 30 feet in front of me when I climber Mt. Marcy in the Adirondacks, a height of around 5,300 something feet. -
