    First win

Well my intramural soccer team got their first win yesterday! We had a game at 5:15pm and started with 8 people. In the beginning of the game, an opponent collided with me and as she fell, I heard a snap. She sprained her ankle good, which explains the snap. I felt so bad, even though I didn't do anything really, lol. Well that team scored so were down 0-1. We pickedu p our play the second half and we had some good shots on goal but couldn't get them in. I played left midfield (and I'm right footed ) and I heard the referee say a minute left. Ok, this game was getting rough to say the least. Well I think there had to be like 30 seconds or less left in the game when one of the girls on my team put the ball in the net! We had a shoot-out and won! So Team Fellowship is officially 1-1 and we have a game again on Thursday against the first team we played, wish us luck. And I didn't get hurt! Of courseb y the last few minutes of the game, with no subs, my legs were tightening and feeling like rubber, but thank goodness for a shootout and a few girls who know some good stretches. Well though I'd keep you all informed
  3. Re: Sunday\'s Injuries Wow, that almost sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Whoever is running the horse show doesn't seem too concerned about the entrants...just the money! I hope both are ok.
  4. Well 2 years with no turkey is a pain and hopefully I'll turn my streak aroudn to what it used to be,lol While hunting squirrels this morning, a bunch of turkeys started yelping at each other. I joined in on the fun, making somewhat of a yelp with my mouth which seemed to work as the turkey answered back. I didn't see any of them but I did find gobbler and hen droppings in different areas which is a good sign.
  5. Re: OPENING DAY (Happy Huntin ALL) LMBO! That is cool!
  6. Re: Pressure\'s off.....WAY OFF! Great story and awesome job in the woods! Congrats on the deer! Now I can't wait till bow season to start in NY!
  7. Re: TEAM 3 Here's a few team names that just popped into my mind: "Armed and Hungry" "Fellowship of the Woods" "Realtree Hunterz" I guess they are kind of lame, lol, but I'll keep thinking.
  8. Re: THANK YOU LUKE and DAN!!!!!!!!!! Some of the people on Realtree are one of a kind.....
  9. Re: Please pray... Wow, how horrible, I'm so sorry for you. I would feel absolutely sick! I'll be hoping and praying someone turns it in. And we think sitting in the stand after we shoot a deer and waiting takes forever, I bet what you're going thru is 5 times worse. Good luck buddy.

    Car wreck

Re: Car wreck Wow, I'm glad to hear you were ok! Taalk about a feeling of helplessness. God was protecting you, that's for sure!
  11. Re: It finally happened! Wow, what jerks! I hope they get found! I would suggest putting chain with a lock on it around your stands. That is what we do with our climbers and regular stands, chain and lock them to the tree. Although there probably aren't too many people in our area to steal anything, someone did use our climber because the lower half was moved.
  12. Re: Check out this rack! Very cool buck!
  13. Re: My cousins had a good morning! That's awesome! Cute pic!
  14. I'm sure most of you know where this is going So earlier today I was picking some more gourds from my garden. I decided to take some to my favorite athletic trainers tomorrow. The garden is a fence in area in the horse pasture, so I duck under the electric fence. We just got a new fencer yesterday so it is fairly strong in zapping Well I'm walk up the hill, carrying a box with gourds and a pumpkin. I set the box under the fence then duck, trying to be careful not to hit the wire. Next thing I know, I feel something on my lower back, upper gluteus maximus area, and my entire body is paralyzed/siezes for a second. That is the best I can remember it. Then after a second, I hear "zzzzz" and I go "ooommpppfff" and fall over I was dizzy for a second then got back up and got my gourds but wow, that fence is really strong! Well my mom told me tonight I should see if there is a mark. My upper right hip/lower back muscles are achy. I take a took and right across my very lower back are probably like 6 red lines, kind of like a claw mark but they are close together. My mom is amazed, lol, and I'm surprised. Well at least I'll have an excuse when I fidget all day tomorrow in classes. So a lesson to you all....duck a little lower or turn the fence off
  15. Well I got up at 7am, took the .22, and went looking for squirrels. My morning began by scaring some deer that started a squirrel screeching so as I stalked the squirrel, he saw me somehow and ran off. Well 2 yearlings came running up the hill and stopped about 20 yards from me, didn't see a thing! Then a big doe came up the hill, saw me, and took off. the 2 young ones just stodd there and finally moved away. Well I saw 5 other gray squirrels but couldn't get a good shot, and missed one of them. Heard turkeys yelping at each other, then I decided to go to one of my "sweet spots". Well I nailed the first squirrel of the day on the ground, then saw another one down a slope and nailed him, then I worked my way over to a big old hickory tree. There I got my third squirrel and missed a 4th. one. Walking home I saw another squirrel and tried stalking a grouse to no avail. So overall, what a morning! Saw at least 8 squirrels that I couldn't get a shot at and came home with 3! They are cooking rightn ow for dinner!
  16. Re: pheasant season soon!!!!! Squirrelhunter, don't you mean Grouse? I thought Pheasant didn't open until later?
  17. Re: My Hike- Adirondacks Those look more like mushrooms, lol
  18. Re: never count your chicken\'s before they hatch I would say this buck could still be alive... sorry to hear you couldn't find them. I had a situation like this last year. I git a deer and had the blood trail, never found the arrow, and eventually the blood trail slowed down. In the spring I foudn the remains though of what I think is the same deer. Check any nearby water areas; wounded deer will go to water. Hearing there was some fat on the arrow makes me think you maybe hit it close to the neck or down low but like you said, it was high...
  19. Re: TEAM 3 Hi Team. Ok, we need a cool name, lol. Archery starts October 15 for me, but I'll miss the first day or two because I'll be in the Adirondacks. Shotgun starts Mid-November than a late Archery season in December. Can't wait! Let's kick some butt!
  20. Re: Our Thanks...never enough words to find... That's awesome what people have done on here! I'll be praying for you Norm. May God continue to heal you and you can be out in the woods again soon. Keep haning in there.
  21. Re: My Hike- Adirondacks Looks like a Garter snake. Where were you in the Adirondacks? Nice photos!
  22. Re: Did you cry My very first turkey I got, which was a fall bird, I was so happy I cried my head off, lol. I hunted really hard that fall, my first season hunting actually, and the second to last day I nailed a jake. I was crying, lol. Luckily that other hunter was way over on another hill.lol
  23. Re: Got new arrows Thanks guys. That is good to hear J Owens. Yeah mine, being the 500 model are 7.3 gpi. The bow shop guy said they'll shoot better in my bow as they will better work for the draw weight.
  24. Re: Really ticks me off!!! Hmm...not alot you can do. If you know the farmer well and think you can talk to him, maybe bring up the problem, worst he can say is no. The farmland I hunt on, the farmer lets just about everyone on it and our neighbors will send like 10 guys through the woods to push the deer into the fields and then take running shots. It is so unethical but this year the farmer said no rifles are allowed which I'm happy about; it is too dangerous on the property. Good luck.
  25. Re: Got new arrows Yeah, I have vanes on them and nocks and everything, just need to put some field points on. I have purple and orange fletching actually, lol! I haven't shot them yet but I'll let you all know how it goes.
