Ok, I was cleaning this morning in the library at college when I picked up a local newspaper from yesterday and it sent that the bill for allowing rifle hunting is some NY counties, including mine, was sent to Pataki's office for him to either sign or veto. The thing I'm really annoyed about is the fact that they said NY deer numbers are high in NY state and rifles will allow more deer to be harvested/more hunters to hunt, blah blah blah. Well I got one of those DMP/deer mailings in the mail the other day; you know the one with the WMU's and your chances of getting a DMP in it? Well my WMU is listed as having no chance of a second DMP and a 1/3-2/3 chance of a person to get 1 DMP.....None of this makes sense that they either say deer numbers are too high or deer numbers are low. Just because one county has too high or too low a deer population doesn't mean every county is like that. Guys, am I just nuts or what? I still feel that where I live, rifles will be dangerous, especially in the hands of our neighbors,lol, and now hunters can shoot at deer across a field. I think the deer populations will get messed up even more. Just my opinion I guess..

Wear camo clothing that is men's or women's? I think all of my camo gear is in men's sizes but it is nice to see a few places like Cabela's have women's clothing also. Is there any major differences between camo made for men/women?

Re: Makin a name for ourselves Welcome aboard! It is great to see another female hunter! Good luck in your big game hunting. I hunt small and big game and I ave to say, there is about as much excitement hunting small game as hunting big game:-)

Re: HUNTING SHOWS, HAVE YOU NOTICED The only shows I get to watch anymore are on the Men's Channel and I have notice that some shows, when they shoot, won't even show the shot or the animal going down. they'll kind of do a freeze frame or go to a commercial or just go to the guy with his animal. I enjoy seeing them track the deer or whatever. I also noticed lately a few gut shots on deer with archery equipment but hey, we aren't all perfect. (It annoys me though when the guy will say "I hit him a little far back" and I consider it really far back,lol)

Re: Gas prices, you think yours are bad.... LOL, that is good! Around here it is $2.57 a gallon; what a rip-off. Of course we go to the Indian reservation where it is at least 10 to 20 cents cheaper

Re: Got stopped by a cop...boy was he confused I'm glad the cops are doing stuff in some states. It seems that around here, people can drive as fast as they want and there isn't a cop in sight. Glad ya didn't get a ticket though:-)

Well I don't know what I'm doing Sunday but Saturday is mom's birthday and she wants to go to China town in Toronto (great food) so we will be up there all day tomorrow probably. It is a 3 hour drive up there and 3/4 of the drive is really boring. Anyone have any good ideas for when you are in the backseat of a car all day? What is everyone else doing this weekend?
