  1. If your not confident in your equipment then I would switch. I've killed 4 or 5 deer with the Crimson Talons without any issues, and all have been pass throughs. In fact, all the deer have died within 50 or 60 yards from where they were shot at. If I was to switch though I think I would use the G5 Stryker.
  2. Our season starts Thursday! I'll probably only be able to get out once next weekend and once the following weekend due to other plans.
  3. Same with me. I work so hard at staying as scent free as possible, that I just don't take any food with me. No point in using cover scents, scent eliminator, scent free soap and shampoo if I'm just going to eat deer sausage and a Snicker bar when I get up the tree.
  4. You got it Harv!Good luck...I hope you have a quick recovery!

    H1N1 Swine Flu

I won't be getting it, but I was wandering if everybody is getting the swine flu vaccination for your kids. My daughter is in kindergarten, and my boy in daycare. Around here it seems about 50/50 on who's getting it for their kids. We got a letter a few weeks ago that said some students in the district had tested positive.
  6. Man, these guys' cardio is crap. Both fighters spent a majority of the second round slumped over with their hands on their knees. The dude that lost was a big old boy....6'7" and 270 lbs. Shnikkees. I seen Big Country fight in the IFL a few times. He's a tough old boy with a pretty solid chin, but if he's not in shape Kimbo will lay him out.
  7. Bow Madness, The Crush, and Bone Collectors, and Primos Truth about Whitetails... in that order.
  8. Absolutely. Put in some good 5 point racing harness's, especially if it'll be a play toy for mudding and climbing. I wouldn't mind getting one myself to fix up when my finances pick up a bit. A nice cj 7 with a suspension lift and some 35" tires with nice wheels, racing seats and belts and I'm good to go.
  9. Same here. I'll know more when it gets a little close. It sounds like a good time, the only problem is it's during the rut. If I get one down before that I should be able to make it. It's only about a 45 minute drive for me.
  10. As much as me and my wife love each other we do still get on each others nerves from time to time, so in a way it is nice to have something we do seperatly once in a while. To be honest when hunting season comes along I really realize how lucky I am.
  11. Nice! Looks great! Our weather has been terrible for plots year. My corn/bean plot flooded in the spring from huge amounts of rain. By June we were about 8" above average. I planted my fall plots the last weekend in August, and had 1 rain since them.:hammer1:
  12. No, my wife doesn't hunt with me. I have brought her with me for a morning sit, but that was the extent of it. She's not really the outdoorsy type.LOL
  13. Nicole Jones, Samantha Morgan, Jennay Weiter, Tiffany, Kandi Kisky....hunting shows have never been better! And their all bowhunters too boot.
  14. I probaly won't get this one. Just trying to save a little money and cut back on a few things. I think the prelim fights are on Spike though, so I'll watch them. I like Franklin. He's been one of my favorite fighters for years now. I'm thinking Franklin wins, Koscheck wins, and Cro Cop wins.
  15. That cut was nasty! John Madsen trains over at Matt Hughes' gym, so his ground and pound is solid. The stand up stunk in that fight though. I don't think I saw one kick or punch thrown. I doubt Kimbo will fight till a later episode. He's probably a good draw for the show, and I doubt Dana wants to take a chance of him losing in the first few episodes and losing some viewers.
  16. Kimbo has trained MMA with Bas Rutten, but they parted ways a little while back. I can't wait for the new season to start!I've been watching religiously since season one. It will be interesting too see what Kimbo can do with some real competition. Truefully, I don't see him winning the show IF they have brought some other talented fighters to the house. I'm hoping they didn't just bring some posers in to make Kimbo look good by beating them all down.
  17. The only thing left to do is wait. My fall plot is in and all my stands are hung. I'm probably going up this weekend to check my camera and maybee drag my target with me and take a few shots out of my stands. Team 4....I was thinking of team "Brett Favre":clown: Just kidding...Buck Busters is cool with me.
  18. Sweet! Just checking in. Our season doesn't start till October 1st. I've got one more stand to hang and a few limbs to trim and I'll be ready. September is going to a long month.:hammer1:
  19. I think there is some validity to it. I believe as long as you use a detergent that doesn't have u.v. brighteners you should be fine. I also seen something a few years ago that said certain types of fungus that grows on the ground and tree bark gives off a u.v. glow, so it might not be that big of an issue. Wether it's true or not I still use Sport Wash. It's cheap, cleans good, is oderless, and a bottle seems to last forever.
  20. I know the feeling. I sold my truck in the spring to get out from the payment, and save a little money for our property taxes. Luckily I had enough money leftover after paying it off to get a decent truck that's a few years older.
  21. Absolutley! Thank you! It's not a job I would want to handle. I couldn't handle all the whining.:hammer1: I am glad to be a part of it though, and look forward to meeting my new team members every year. It also adds a little excitement to the forums.

    Photobucket?

Seems to be working for me. It is a little slow, but no more than usual. I just downloaded a few pics to it yesterday.
  23. Could've been the old Raisinette trick.:hammer1:
