Ammunition, Magazines, Rifle Parts, Bulk Ammo and Rifle Accessories - Palmetto State Armory This company still has AR parts and the sort availible. I have been spending like a drunken sailor the last few weeks buying my own Christmas gifts. ONLY buying what I know not to be over priced. I expect a premium on anything tactical. But I refuse to overpay. I made smart purchases back in 99 when the Y2K scare was looming.

Merry Christmas Joe! And Yes...The boys bought me a new Realtree Scent lok Jump suit!

Heard about that last night on the news while driving. Very sad. Prayers out to the familes involved.

I agree John. Quite irresponsible on their behalf. But they are part of the media that is on board with demonizing guns. Look where I live? 40 miles north of NYC. So many people around here have not been exposed to guns or hunting. So they are left to be given opinions on these matters by the press. So many believe what the paper says. Even the police around here do not know the laws. My oldest son Joe gets harrased constantly by local police that say there is no hunting in our town. Which is a lie. The state regulates hunting, not local municipalities. Anything around here done with a weapon of any kind is highly discouraged. My son Joe turned 21 a few weeks ago and applied for his pistol permit. He was told he may not get it because the judge who signs off on the permits thinks 20 somethings are too young to own guns. This is where I live...I cannot retire soon enough and move to Texas.

I don't see the counties that released the info inviting lawsuits by giving the info out. This is not the first time they have done this. How many and what kind was not released. My phone has been ringing all day from friends and family regarding this issue. Going to be interesting how this will play out.

They are hiding behind the first amendment. Freedom of information laws make this information readily accesable. Any municpal permit or license information is availible to anyone who files the proper paperwork. Here is the main article link. http://www.lohud.com/article/20121223/NEWS04/312230056/The-gun-owner-next-door-What-you-don-t-know-about-weapons-your-neighborhood?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|News

Its getting even worse. The press here has published online the names and address of law abiding handgun owners in my county and surrounding counties. Now criminals know whos house to rob to get guns and who is unprotected also. Attacking the law abiding is way easier than putting the bad guys in jail. Somehow now, having a gun makes you evil and a potential physcopath. Incredible. Great going Journal news. http://www.lohud.com/interactive/article/20121223/NEWS01/121221011/Map-Where-gun-permits-your-neighborhood-

Can't agree with you there Bug. The Gov't does such a great job at other things. They would probobly do a great job with that too...NOT. Your theory is just because of a few bad gun handlers, all gun handlers must have their rights restricted? That is gun control period. With over 300,000,000 guns in circulation. A extremely small percentage are used criminally. One of the reasons the 94 assault weapons ban expired was the sunset clause in that bill. Congress left in the bill that the 94 ban was to be revisited and explored when it was due to expire. They did and found that 1/10 of 1% of those type weapons were used in crimes. So the ban was abolished. Keep that in mind.

Merry Christmas Luke to you and the family.

I have been all over the net trying to acquire additional replacement parts for AR's. No one anywhere I have clicked have anything in stock. No Bolts or bolt carriers, no uppers, no lower receiver part kits...mags are fetching monster premiums and ammo is getting scarcer by the minute. Get what you can while You can. Most if not all AR manufacturers, are using CNC machinery and original drawings to make their receivers of usually 7075-T6 aluminum. Kind of hard to go wrong with any brand of lower. The upper is the important part that delivers the accuracy and function. Since all AR 15's are modular. You can start out with one make lower and put another manufacturers upper on it. Look for a 5.56 chambering or the .223 Wylde chamber. A standard .223 chamber will only shoot .223. But 5.56 chamber will digest both, and the .223 Wylde is like a match chamber that can shoot both also. Keep this also in mind. If you cannot purchase a complete/whole AR15. Look into purchasing just a complete lower or a stripped lower that you can easily build yourself. The lower is a much easier build than the upper IMO. Less tools needed also. This way with a lower you are in the door. I hope you are able to get what you want. But you may have to up that spending number a bit with recent supply and demand.

What a sweet looking toy! But we all really know that it is a tool . Enjoy it and good luck with it.

Merry Christmas Mike and to all of the Realtree family!

I agree whole heartedly with your statement. Problem is... the media has a big bone with lots of meat on it and they ain't stopping anytime soon. Rational folks will get it. Libs won't. I heard some of Wayne LaPierres statement on the news while driving. Then I switched over to conservative talk radio. What was left out of the televised/broadcasted speech was when LaPierre hit on the facts, they went to commercial. That meant no one could here the points he was making. They had the statement on delay and decided to air whatever they felt advanced their agenda or what they wanted you to hear. CBS news broadcast a screaming person at that news conference who was shouting all kinds of gun ban talk and blaming the NRA for these murders. They gave a person like that airtime and held back talking points from the publics ear. How is this allowed to happen?... and no one...I mean no one at all says anything? Keep this great country in yours prayers please.

I think this is a great word created by a great man. Col Jeff Cooper. Thought many would enjoy it in light of recent events.

Happy Birthday Martin...Hope you have one hundred more!

Get a load of this... Eric Holder is in Newtown,CT today. I wonder how many deaths he is responsible for with Fast and Furious? Not to mention border patrol agent Brian Terry's. So many Americans have their head in the sand...how sad.

Listen...with this guy as president we can expect more control over EVERY aspect of our lives. The media is milking this tragedy for all it is worth and they no longer reports the news. They make up stories to fit their agenda and spin things crazier than you can ever imagine. Funny how all of the limousine libs who have themselves surrounded with a phalanx of bodygurds and weapons deem your life/freedoms not important enough to be defended. Yes I read that Ceberus is looking to seel off its gun manufacturing business'. They own Bushmaster, Marlin, DPMS, Remington, H&R, Advanced Armament and a few other I believe. They are getting pressure from state pension funds that have money invested in Ceberus to get out of the gun business or they will remove their investments. Really? I guess they had no issues when Ceberus was making large profits and passing on those profits to the shareholders like state pension funds. If they are for real...They will give back the money the Freedom Group/Ceberus has made them. That will never happen in a million years. God Bless the families of this horrible tragedy. FBI uniform crime report from 2004. Less than 1/10 of 1% of military styled semi autos are used in crimes. Which is the data that congress used to let the 94 AWB expire.

Looks great Ben...I like how it looks like the bear is crawling out the wall . Nice work. Did ya save the skull also?

Cut n pasted from Google. Firearms authority and writer Jeff Cooper claims to have coined the word in 1962 to describe what he called a "mental aberration consisting of an unreasoning terror of gadgetry, specifically, weapons."[7] The term was constructed from the Greek ὅπλον - hoplon, meaning amongst others "arms,"[8] and φόβος - phobos, meaning "fear."[9] Although not a mental health professional, Cooper employed the term as an alternative to other slang terms, stating: "We read of 'gun grabbers' and 'anti-gun nuts' but these slang terms do not [explain this behavior]." Cooper attributed this behavior to an irrational fear of firearms and other forms of weaponry. Cooper's opinion was that "the most common manifestation of hoplophobia is the idea that instruments possess a will of their own, apart from that of their user."[7] Writing in an opinion piece, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review columnist Dimitri Vassilaros asserted that the term was intended by Cooper as tongue-in-cheek to mock those who think guns have free will

Hey everyone check this out!!! Realtree Reunion in NY
Adjam5 replied to Tim Andrus's topic in Lounge
Would love to make it Tim and see all you guys. But way too far of a trip for me to go alone Looking forward to the pics. -
Great pic. El Al is Israels airline and they have never been hijacked because of their preparedness. The media is not gonna let this tragedy go away. They will milk it for all it is worth. Celebs that made their millions in shootem up and blow em up films are getting on the anti gun bandwagon. The pipsqueek mayor of NYC is pledging his billions to support candidates who are antigun and promote his agenda countrywide. How does a citizenry compete with that? Once again only the rich and powerful will control the weapons. Exactly what out forefathers warned of.

Leo...Ill admit that I am not up to date on the African exotics in Texas. But about a year ago. I posted about the dama, addax gazzelle and the scimitar horned orynx and how the USFWS was in the midst of baning the hunting of those animals. As far as I knew, farm raised livestock was able to be killed whenever. But I do know that even farm raised deer can only be killed during deer season. I see that they tryed to ban the hunting of these animals and a permit is now needed to hunt one. Again...Leo I congratulate you. Like you said...Antis 0...Leo 1

This event has made me sick to my stomach...I am speechless. My brother lives one town over in Bethel,CT and takes his kids/my nephews to sport meets at that school. It hit home for my brother and sister in law. I cannot imagine the sorrow those parents feel. I have teared up on more than one occasion thinking about this. How sad also, about politicians not letting folks grieve and pushing their agenda. Sad day for America.

Congrats on the sucessful hunts Leo. Texas is the Sportsmans paradise IMO. The Oryx is something to treasure. The USFWS has banned the hunting of them(don't know the date that goes into effect, but it is soon) and you were quite lucky to get in under the wire. That is a magnificent animal which I hear the meat is sweeter than Axis Deer. Bowhunting is awesome. Congrats again.
