Tom was the very definition of a Gentleman. Through all the many years that I knew him there was never a time when he would not stop and answer questions or sign an autograph. He taught me so much more than just how to "Shoot Straight". I will miss my friend but rejoice in the knowledge that he is walking the fields in Heaven with our Lord forever hunting birds behind a meticulous pointer.

I am sure most of you have seen NS Whitetail's post about his wife needing sponsors for her upcoming run to raise funds for Cancer Research. Here is what I propose. I have spoken with Scott about this and he says it is okay to go ahead. I will put up one of my Deep Woods Hunters for auction with all of the proceeds going to her sponsorship. The knife I am speaking of is similar to the one pictured here. I will allow the winner of the auction to decide on the handle material (sorry no Ivory or Mother of pearl). I would like to run the auction starting today April 21 and ending at midnight eastern time on May 11. Post your bids in this thread. I would appreciate it if an admin would put a sticky on this so it will stay at the top. Thank you.

I need a recommendation for a product to put on my yard that will positively get rid of Dandelions, Chickweed, and Henbit. So far I have put down Scotts Weed & Feed Plus and Preen Weed and Feed. Both seem to be working on the Dandelions but neither appear to be doing any damage to the Chickweed or Henbit.

Glad to hear she is doing well - continued prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.

Got home last night after visiting our youngest daughter and her husband in Louisville, Kentucky. Left South Carolina on Friday morning with temps in the 40s, had temps in Louisville in the upper 60s on Saturday. Left Louisville Sunday afternoon temp was 28 and it was snowing and sleeting. Arrived back in South Carolina to temps in the upper 60s. Great visit but geeez the temp changes were enough to give anyone pneumonia.
