  1. Back when I shot trap, I did my reloading on a Mec--Jr. It's a single stage. It would take me about 15 minutes to load a box of 25. I shot a 12 gauge. Your 28 maybe a little difficult to find wads or hulls. CB
  2. My go to calls are both box calls. Quaker Boy---Grand Old Master & a Lynch "101-Fool-proof" They carry the call up thru the canyons where I hunt. Merriams like it & that's what matters.......CB
  3. Anyone applying for a New Mexico oryx tag? Deadline is Feb 3th. I killed one a few years back on the Stallion Range of the White Sands-----that was a once in a lifetime tag. But they have a hunt a FT Bliss---McGregor Range that I can try for. Good luck to all who apply. CB
  4. Which unit? Looking at my game management unit map, there are several in the GM National Forest. Unit 421 & 521 , maybe 52 also. Also is it archery or rifle? I know that 1st rifle & muzzleloader are both draw.
  5. Only one would be the winter hunt. There are 3 or 4 outfitters that do it. Mirage, Donat, & 2 I can't spell. CB
  6. What do you use to remove old camo tape from my 870? It's been on the gun for years so it's going to be sticky on the both the metal receiver & wood stock. Thanks, CB
  7. Wyohunter-----looks like WY can fill your dream hunt. There are good moose there, I got mine a couple years ago @ Big Piney. Black Bear you can still bait---in WY I think. I've done most of my dream hunts----Bighorn, Mtn Goat, Elk, Bear, Antelope, Cougar----all here in Colorado. moose in WY. Been to South Africa for plains game. 3/4 of the turkey slam----Rio, Merriams & Eastern I still would like to see the far north----Caribou hunt or maybe an interior grizzly. Another trip to South Africa but you can go there when you are in your 60's. CB
  8. The 14 year old boy I took out hunting this year used one. It was in 30/06. We shot quite a bit thru out the summer-----it's pretty accurate. He used it on a deer & elk hunt. Killed a doe & a cow------both 1 shot kills. The gun is OK in my book. Felt good when I shouldered it. Trigger was OK for a hunting rifle. CB
  9. How did you all do on your Colorado elk hunt. Great year for my camp. My nephew got a 6x5, I got a 5x4 & my friend from TX got a 4x3. They all were down by 8:30AM on opening day. Then I took the 14 year old up this weekend & he got a nice cow. I lost 2 notches on the belt from packing all the elk out. Bob
  10. Not sure you can fix it. Send it back to maker? I would get a new scope. CB
  11. Is it for steel shot? or is it for turkey? What is the diameter?
  12. Doc---Sorry about this but the wife cleaned out the closet & it went in the yard sale.
  13. Let me look around my closet. I had a pretty nice one. You could add a water bladder. I could mail it to you-----if you like it----you can send the " AK dream hunt a donation. I'm thinking $20-$30 range, sound fair? :et me know. CB
  14. I'll bid $35-------I don't know what kind of call it is. Some type of push pin ? CB
  15. Took Wyatt out shooting last nite. Had him shoot mostly a 22-----@ 50 yards. Just to get squeezing the trigger & looking thru a scope. I zeroed his 30/06 @ 100 yards. Then I had him bust a few clay pigeons @ 100 yards. He did pretty good. His shoulder was a little black & blue from the 06. We'll go again next week. CB
  16. I'll post this here if it's ok, TexasTrophy. Remember the 14 year old I took out for his 1st hunt this spring----it was for a Merriam gobbler. Anyway he had a barrel of fun---so there is a special doe hunt on the Colorado State bull testing ranch here. They draw 12 young hunters for a weekend hunt. Wyatt drew a tag. Now, we have to go to the range & start him on shooting his rifle. He's green but wants to learn. I'll be his mentor on the hunt come October. Should be a fun 2 months. CB
  17. Good deal---hangunnr. Got involved in laying some sod a friend's house. Glad to see you posted a real bid-----not a $1 higher than mine. That's a good gun-----have fun hunting with it. Guess, I'll use my old 54 cal-- T/C Renegade on that KS whitetail hunt. Pretty sure I can buy a scope mount for it. CB
  18. 6PM central is a bad time for me because I'll be driving home in traffic. How about 9 PM central. CB
  19. $160------Kirk, I'll need the recipe for her. Planning a KS muzzleloading deer hunt in the fall of 2010. CB
