  1. Re: bow season might be over I'm going through the same thing, I got two cortizone shots last Thursday one in each shoulder. My left one is still killing me, but I'm going to try and tough it out for Ohio next week. I've got a followup with the Doctor on the 22nd of Nov. I'm hoping to stay away from the knife. Good luck to you!
  2. Re: Got a Buck *Pic* Not a thing in the world wrong with that being a first buck and first bow kill! Great Deer! Congrats!
  3. Re: Full Camo suit for sale I've got a ground blind (Brickhouse TSC), but it's worth more than the suite you've got. I've got five(5) Tekan II broadheads, one luminok, and no releases I want to get rid of. Let me look around some more.
  4. Re: Real Antlers, What Lanyard??? Ditto on the 550 cord.
  5. Re: hello all Welcome to the forums and I know you won't be disappointed with this site. Look for ward to hearing some hunting stories from you.
  6. Re: Got a Buck Congrats! Looking forward to the pictures.
  7. Re: How do you Bingo! Vermont Hunter
  8. Re: The Rut In Ohio SE Ohio in Athens County.
  9. Re: What A Crock Nick you gave it your best effort, be it right or wrong and I can understand ethically how much you wanted to find that buck. I know alot of people would have went over with out permission and some people wouldn't, but we can't be an advertisment for trespassing is okay if it's for a deer. I'm going to lock this post because I feel it's ran it's course and don't want it to get out of hand with a lot of people up on there soap boxes saying you should of went in sooner. Laws are made to be followed not broken and I feel your pain on the lose of that deer. This is just one of the down sides of hunting in general and a great example of why we should stress more to non-hunters why we hunt and how ethical a sport it really is. In my eyes it's the landowners that aren't the eithcal one, not allowing a downed animal to be claimed and go to waste. Sorry Bud!
  10. Re: The Rut In Ohio Son of a gun-you guys get out there and waves rags, flags or something and tell them to slow down on the rut. I'm not coming up there till next Saturday and I wan tthem hot and heavy then!LOL
  11. Re: got a double last weekend! Pics Did you kill them in NC or SC? We are only allowed 6 deer in NC and four of which can be bucks. By the way, those are two awesome bucks, Cangratulations! Also, with a bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Re: Should I hunt with a 14-19 MPH Wind I killed my P&Y on a 20-30 mph windy day blowing snow and in the teens for temp. I say hunt like you mean it, I don't guess you can forget the wind and just hunt. LOL
  13. Re: What A Crock At best you can call the game warden and tell him the situation. By no means should you risk your whole hunting season on a deer and get some kind of record that will stick with you for trespassing. I know loosing a deer is gut wrenching but laws are laws and we must abide by them. You break them and you've lost more than just the deer. You've actually contacted the owner and gotten a big "No" out of her, that by my standards means you've given great means of recoverying this deer and in my opinion should chalk it up as a shot and not found deer. You never know, this deer could still be walking around just fine anyway! JMO
  14. Re: Full Camo suit for sale Let me look around for something, I know I've got two Renzo decoys for starters if you need those. What about walky talkie's, Gerber pliers, or things of that nature?
  15. Re: What broadhead? Slick trick and NAP Thunderheads are two great fixed blade heads that come in 85 grain. Muzzy comes in 75, and 100 so they can't help you there. If your wanting mechanicals, Rocket and Rocky Mountain make some good heads.
  16. Re: TWINS!!!!! (almost) (pics) madabouthuntin should be madaboutkillindeer! LOL Congrats on those bucks!
  17. Re: Renzo Decoys Dang bill that is a toad! Congrats! JKAPP01 I tried to sell a buck and a doe decoy onhere all summer long. I would of shipped them to your door for 25.00 for both.

  20. Re: Quick Question. There will be a sign up time before the season starts and you'll be placed on a team. You still might be able to get onto a team to fillin for no shows that have signed up and not participated in the contest. You can send a PM to need2hunt and he'll give you more info.
  21. Re: Finally got my buck back! Congratson your first buck, VERY NICE and I love the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling! LOL
  22. Re: Experience with Tekan 2s? [ QUOTE ] The entery and exit holes were the same and as big as a cut as it states they have. [/ QUOTE ] Vt-let me ask you something on these heads? Do you do anything with them after getting themout of the packages? I' noticed on a couple of them that I really had to push the blades back hard to get them to slide rearward. Then after seating them back, they deployed fine and I did do the paper test and got them to deploy. This one I shot the buck with must have been one I didn't manually deploy the blades on before I shot it. Just a thought on my entry hole.
  23. Re: Experience with Tekan 2s? I officially tried another head (I beg forgiveness from Muzzy) out this year and it happened to be the Tekan II. I wasn't all that impressed with the entery hole, but it did it's job on the deer. I watched it pile up after 50 yards, but any well placed arrow with a good broadhead will do that. The reason I wasn't impressed with the entry hole, was they state the blades will slide back with .75 pounds of energy. The blades didn't fully deploy until in the deer. They fly great and hit hard, but I'm hung up on Muzzy's to much to do anything but try something instead of switching to another head.
  24. Re: beman and muzzy I'm up to three deer with one of my Goldtips and a Muzzy 75 this year. I've changed the blades and put in on the arrow checker to make sure it's still straight. It's ready to go eat again, hopefully I can give an update after Ohio.
