  2. Re: Hunting Arrow weight Gator, My CSS is shooting 282 fps and my Martin SE is shooting 287 fps.
  3. Re: DoskoSport® Pro 44 Single or Double Bow Case? Be sure and measure the distance from cam end to cam end. Not the ATA, I had the 44SE it was two short for a 37" ATA the cam to cam end was 42" on a 41 1/2" inside width. Just thought you might want a heads up. Most of these new bows being so short are making hard for us die hard longer ATA shooters to find one. I ended up getting one from Plano like my other one.
  4. Re: Hunting Arrow weight I've got two bows set-up, one at 65# with a 360 grain arrow at 63.59 K.E. and the other at 66# with a 361 grain arrow with 66.04 K.E. and have no problems with bones. Of course I shoot Muzzy broadheads! LOL I like to hold my arrows right around the 5.7 to 5.8 gpp on my set-ups, they seem to perform much much better with that. I'm not giving much up on the noise issue either.
  5. Re: Bowhunting Magazines ONLY!!! Name Them!!! Oh no! I saw one yesterday I hadn't seen before and I guess I'll never get it! LOL Mathews Bowhunting Magazine published by North American Hunter, I think.
  6. Re: Bowhunting Magazines ONLY!!! Name Them!!! Peterson's Bowhunting that's one. I'll save some for the other folks.
  7. Re: 2006 Competition scores Well, I finally made a tournament and it was in LA. LOL My brother gave me a bow he had won in a contest on Archery Talk, so I had to try it out after I sighted it in. The bow is heavy in weight and I'm not used to pulling 67#'s on a 30 target 3-D course, but I did manage to shoot six points up and take second place in the hunters class.
  8. Re: Need help locating a fiber optic sight... My son has got one on his bow and I've got the old T-dot sight pins like that. Man, those are ancient. LOL I've had them since 1994. The sight holder is just a plate with grooves in it, right?
  9. Re: Adder Points behind a field point. Man, I used one of the adder's in LA two weeks ago on a muskrat and hammered him. It was shot out of Martin SE at 67 pounds at 22 yards. The booger didn't know what hit it. I'm going to get some for around the house here.
  10. Re: how old is it? That and 80's bow.
  11. Re: how old is it? If it's got round wheels made of composite, I'd say it's an 87 bow. If it's got machined cams, it's a 97 bow. Wasn't it 1987 when Fred Bear pasted away? Also, does it have strings or cable's on it, that'll be another clue to how old it is.
  12. Re: Roadtrips Season 3 Be sure and watch the Varmit section at the end of the video. I laughed so hard last night, the whole DVD is great! You'll enjoy it.
  13. Re: Hey, straight shooter I just needed one more coke!
  14. Re: Hey, straight shooter We've talked and I've gotten puter literate! LOL And now I have new sig pic! Thanks a bunch, and where those rating stars are for ya!
  15. Re: Anyone Use Renzo Deer Decoys? I've got two bucks and two doe decoys I'll let go for 40.00 plus shipping and they are in excellent condition! Pictures are available if wanted. tey were used one season and put up. I did lose one rod that holds them up.
  16. Re: Monster Bucks 14. The videos are awesome and the footage is as well. I believe I'd try and renig on that "canned hunt" statement. That's a can of worms you don't want to open, that lid can be shut very tight for you my friend. i agree there were also two hunts that were named inthe wrong state, but hey, if it wasn't for bloopers somebody might not have a job.
  17. Re: Hunting trips I'm heading back up north to Ohio for my usual second week of November and heading to a new 4,000 acre piece of property in north central NC. I went there two week ago and was totally blown away by the deer and deer sign.
  18. Re: For those that make there own arrows. I'm with Tom on this one. I use the fletch-tite in the red and white tube for carbon and aluminum. I've tried the platinum, it's rather runny and hard to fool with.I also don't like the way it adhere's to the vanes and shafts. I've tried several other brands as well with not much satisfaction either. Bottom line though, if you prepare your arrow shafts in the right manner most glues will suffice just fine. This entails using emory clothe, acetone or alcohol to prep your arrows, graphite or aluminum. This little bead on the end is called dabbing the vane ends. It prevents the fletching from curling when going into a target.
  19. Re: New String??? I just bought a new set of Winners Choice for my bow and like it so far.
  20. Re: What are you getting new for next year? I've all ready gotten a new set of bushnell yardage pro scout range finders, Lacrosse 1500 gram boots, a new dozen arrows, a new Arctic Cat 400 FIS model, another pack of 75 grain Muzzy's, a new Transformer safety harness, and I'm sure a few more things will come before the season starts. Man I just love the off season! LOL
  21. Re: THANK YOU !! MUZZY Co. If you get o many of those 75 grains heads, I'll give you my address! LOL That is another awesome graphic VH! Like I said before, you are da man!

  24. Re: Hey, straight shooter You are the man! I can't wait to actually have another bloody Muzzy this fall now! Thanks again!
  25. Re: Hey, straight shooter VH, that's so cool! NOW, how can I get it to my sig ?
