Snow? Have a Lake Effect Snow advisory today and got a couple inches of the white stuff. Hope the roads are plowed by the time I leave for work. Was going to go out and try to fill my doe tag but the wind, cold, and heavy snow falling scared me back into bed,lol. Anyone else getting any snow?

Way to go Art, congrats! I like the cool odd rack on your buck! I lost 2 deer with my bow this season before I got things together. Will get my 10 point entered for points.

Deer don't seem to be bother by the flash on my trail cams...that being said I'd just sit in my stand and enjoy watching the deer vs. teasing it with a flashlight....

Wow...looks like it has been running wild for awhile. One day during bow season this year I sat in my stand in the AM, saw nothing until a small buck came flying through, trailed by someone's boxer....I was annoyed. the deer ran out in the field, dog stopped, turned and walked down in front of me, I yelled at it, it stopped I moved, it saw me and took off like a shot back towards home....

Congrats on a great buck!! He's a beauty! I just got a muzzleloader this year so hope to nock down a doe with it later on in December during ML.

In the woods I'l ldrag my deer on a slight incline, make a large enough belly cut to pull out the guts (have to cut the diaphragm), tie an end of the intestine so nothing comes up. When the deer gets home, we get the heart out, finish the cut between the back legs, split the pelvis, hang it by the back legs and start skinning!

Finally got your knife bloody, used it to clean and skin my archery and shotgun bucks! For anyone looking for knife, not only do they look good but they hold a good edge and sharpen well! Thanks Ross!

Thanks everyone! Bow buck went to the taxi on Saturday, gun buck went on Sunday. Should be done sometime next spring...can't wait, lol!

Keep looking...sounds like a gut shot....I would not have taken that long of a shot but that is just me....I lost 2 deer with my bow this year, bad shots do happen, I'm positive EVERYONE on here has not recovered deer. The "moment" got the best of me....Learn what went wrong and how to correct it. Give the recovery effort your best so at least you know you gave it your all. Good luck!

I have a tendency to try and hold it as still as possible...I think that's where I get into trouble,lol
