Re: Last chance hunt scores!! Congrats buckshot, that's awesome! Now I'm jealous, lol! I hope I can find some turkeys tonight and/or find some thing tomorrow!

Re: Whitetail Pro Jumps The Fence I've never hunted mule deer so I wouldn't know but I think hunting any animal has it's "degree of difficulty". Turkeys for instance..... they can come right in one day and drag your around the woods the next.

Re: GOOD DAY FISHING! Great job to her! It's even great to hear of her attempts at cleaning because I know of way too many girls at college that would flip out, not too mention get grossed out by a fish, lol

Hey fellow NY hunters...what are the turkeys doing right now or how is the hunting going? I haven't been out in the woods for days because of pre-calculus. I was going to go out this morning but kind of slept in and tonight I promise I am going out to roost some turkeys if I'm lucky but I'm wondering what the turkeys are doing? Are they quiet or what's going on at this time and how should I approach them? We may get some rain which I hope on because that is about my best chance of seeing any turkeys in the fields. Good luck to everyone in the last few days

Re: Last day closing in... Good luck to everyone~ Here in my part of NY, most fields are plowed and planted. Calling for maybe rain these next 4 days so I plan to go out and give it one last shot on those days! Kepp your heads up!

Well I just checked my email and the professor sent me my grade for the final exam, overall % and final grade. First let me say that during a May term class at my college, 1 day of class 8am - 10:45am, is equivalent to 1 week of the regular semester so you can imagine how intense 3 weeks of Pre-cal was! I definitely dreaded taking this course but had to get it over with (integrative studies) so here is it is: Final exam score = 132 out of 150 Overall % = 92% Overall grade = B+ I am definitely very happy, especially since this was one of the hardest classes I've taken!

Supersize ME? I had to watch that for my Exercise Phsyiology class. I have to say it grossed me out and actually now my family, we rarely eat at McDonald's after the movie. Actually the most we would eat there was maybe once a week when out shopping but not anymore, lol! Seriously it was amazing to hear about the sugar in the soda, how it effected his body, physically and mentally. Fast food is some of the most unutritious food (though we stil eat it once in awhile). For an average woman, 2500 calories is the daily requirement, I think it is like 3000 for an average male. Ok, I'm getting into what I learned in class, lol. So I was just wondering what people's opinions were on this movie if they saw it? Did it change your thoughts, where you eat, or did you think it was a bunch of useless info?

Re: ~Another Update on Bob~ Wow, keep us updated on Bob. Glad he is doing ok but that is some major surgery...so he shattered his femur from what is sounds like? My mom several years ago slipped on some ice and broke her lower leg and ankle. They put some screws in the ankle but the leg, there were like two or three fractures in the tibia. They had to put a rod down her tibia for that. She spent 2 months non weight bearing lying on the couch then about another 2 years to completely recover with therapy. Luckily the athletic trainers at my college helped her do the therapy so it was free and mom got to know some great people. Good luck to ya Bob!

Had my final exam in Pre-calculus at 8am today. Took me from 8am - 9:45am to get it done, I think I passed, lol! I also think my overall grade will be a B. Then had the dentist at 11am. I had a filling done last October and since then, whenever I got food caught inbetween the teeth, they would be sore until I got the food out. Well there dentist said there isn't anything there though there is a gap in a previous filling. He said just keep it flossed, blah blah blah. But then he told me I have two small spots of new decay, which is hard to believe because I brush at least twice a day and floss! I must have my mom's teeth, lol. So I have to have those done in July but I'm done with Pre-cal and now the fun of getting ready for the Adirondacks can begin, along with the last 4 days of turkey season! I hope everyone has a very safe holiday weekend

Re: Got Me Before I Got It! Well a few years back my cat got sprayed, vet recommened vinegar. Then a year or two later our one dog got sprayed right in the face/nose. We think she tried to sniff its butt, lol. It'll go away over time but you have the rotten onions times 10 right, because there are some onions rotting in our root cellar right now!

Re: monster lobsters $7 a pound? What a rip-off in NY. In the Tops market they charge $12 a pound and most of the lobsters they get, the biggest is 2 lbs if your lucky but they are Maine lobsters.
