Re: Anyone going to Star Wars next week?? My sister likes Star Wars ALOT and LOTR, I like LOTR,lol. Anyway my sister wants to go see it in the theater because you get a better effect or whatever but if we go it won't be for probably 2 weeks.

Re: Birds That one is a Rose Breasted Grosbeak; we have a pair right now. The other bird looks like maybe a Pine Siskin or some type of sparrow like bird.

I actually found one fox den a weekend ago, it has 2 fox pups, and there were a few turkey feathers around the den which proves to me they are getting turkeys. I have also know of another den that had turkey remains and once in a while I find the bones of a turkey. The foxes got 5+ of our chickens a year or two ago so we have to be careful about letting the chickens run loose. All I know is after turkey season, I'm getting rid of a few pests!

Re: NorthEast turkey hunters. Been hearing them yet? I'm in NY and where I am hunting, having the same problem except I called in 2 hens this morning. It is a really weird year for the turkeys to me and I think that the coyotes/foxes here are killing off too many and may be why I'm not seeing jakes/toms like I use to.

Re: Arrowheads Incase you don't know, the whitish ones, not sure what rock they are, but they can be really old arrow heads! My mom found a whitish one and we have a couple arrowhead books that talk about the Indians and what period they are from. Nice finds!

Re: Joined The Gym I would also suggest you combine both aerobic (like running/walking) with anaerobic(strength/weight lifting) exercise. I learned in my class that sometimes doing one but not the other isn't always helpful and doing both helps benefit more of your body:-)

Re: The Most Misses ever in a season? My first archery season, I think I missed 3 times. I missed a doe at 30 yards then I missed 2 bucks who came within 10-15 yards of my stand, about 8 minutes apart, shot over one and under the other. This was when I had my dad's hand me down bow which is really old and couldn't shoot. Now that I have a better bow and have learned alot, I am doing alot better,lol

Re: How the heck to you hunt silent turkeys???? I have had the same problem. Heard nothing opening morning or the first week. Hopefully this weekend will be better though it will be raining so I'll be by the fields.
