    Burgularies...

Sorry to hear about the burglaries. Hope they catch the lowlifes and put 'em away. The "Castle doctrine" is what all states need. A security system is the way to go when you can't be home all the time. If you live in a isolated area, and no one hears the alarm. At least you know the police are on their way if nobody answers the phone with the password. What I do is leave a little bait money in my sock draw. They always go there 1st. The thief will go for fast cash and be on its way, that equals less damage, less property tossing and less time in your home. That is a BIG plus. Everything of value should go into a bolted down safe. My security system won't stop James Bond, but it will stop the teenager gone bad in your area.
  3. Congrats Bill;) Kids are the best thing in the world. God bless him and your family. A blessing for sure.

    Amazing!!!!!!

Wow! What a journey...Funny how it headed north and any other direction. Since it was collared, it might have been a problem cat to begin with. Would love to see what it has been eating at that time.
  5. Enjoy him now before they grow up and start out shooting you:D
  6. Nice goat Jeramie:) Congrats. Do they taste like deer? It looks like I might get the next coming 4 weeks or better off. The company I work for is slow and myself and 50 others might get laid off:( Not really a big deal, just need to stay out as long as deer season is open:D My union will find me more work when my # comes up. But electrical construction is slow in NYC. Thats what I do. We need the Freedom tower to be built and that will employ many of us for quite some time. OK, it has been unusually cold in this area lately. My son and are thinking the rut will come a bit early this year. It starts heating up with buck fights around Halloween week. That has always been a good day to hunt for me. The 31st. We hunt suburbia, 40 miles north of NYC and NY's Catskills. Been shooting our bows every day after dinner. We are ready. BTW. my screen name is a acronym for the names of our family members Anthony, Dawn, joseph, anthony, michael 5 of us...ADjam5 Anthony

    New ATV

Good luck with the new ride:)
  10. Wow! What a beautiful place Double A! I love the Lone Stars, on and around the house;) Texas is full of Pride. Not like NY:( As far as the contrasting rifles go( M4 carbine and a pre 86ban AKM)... That pic was taken July4th weekend when we rat tat tat:D I'm sure our founding fathers( especially Ben Franklin) would've love to have shot those.
  11. Its hunting without having to be there:). It is a whole 'nother game to get into with traps and such. Maybe invite a trapper to trap and share the booty. Those were cool pics none the less.
  12. Cool pics. I'd love to see a fox in season. Good to know you have them. Do you trap William?
  13. Such graceful creatures. Thanks for sharing.
  14. My oldest and youngest sons and I went turkey hunting this weekend. The colors of fall were breathtaking in NY's Catskill Mts. A Great time of year to be in the woods. The kids took a pic of me...might as well post it:)
  15. I use them with my recurve. I think they are the best 2 blade fixed head out there.
  16. Nice Tall rack Harv. Congrats. The 1st ones are always special.
  17. Great Job! Very NIIICE buck for sure. Congrats:)
  18. No surprise from the democraps:(
  19. Wow! What a resume! Glad to meet you Mr.Tink Nathan. Welcome to the board! Would love to see some of your old time pics ,if you would be so kind to post them. I have been to that Hill country you speak of in Texas. San Antonio, Harper, Kerrville and Iraan too. I Will be back to your great state soon I promise. I made a few friends down at Rhodes Taxidermy in Kerrville...Know 'em? Gary is a real nice guy. BTW, there is not a deer season that happens in this house without a few bottles of Tinks getting used;)...Good Stuff.
  20. We have 62 acres in NY's Catskill Mtns. I have a 2 bedroom 50' mobile home on the land, and it is my weekend getaway/hunting lodge. I just bought a woodburning stove to put in it. This is the only room worth showing:D
  21. We have a Bob named Bobcat. He shot the only bobcat in the area anyone can remember. We have a "wound'em Willie" who has a rep for wounding:rolleyes:. Ohhh... and one of this boards finest youth, had gotten a nickname a few years back on one of our drives by my friends...Squirrelhunter91; my son Joe, was given the moniker "GPS Joe" for getting lost on a drive, and he had all 9 of us looking for him:D Think he'll find this post?:D:D

    cool find

A VERY cool find:cool:. I'd have it tested just to actually know what it is. Where you're gonna put it can come later.
  23. There was a article on our local paper about the return of Ravens to NY.http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081005/NEWS/810050320 It said how they were a bit bigger than the crows we usually see. I pluck them and leave the rest for the coyotes. Maybe the one I shot last weekend was a Raven. It was much bigger than the other crows I've shot in the past. Look at that wing span!
